In this webinar, TIIP partnered with the Intentional Endowments Network (IEN) to discuss the “systems-level” context of institutional investor’s investment decisions, and review data and tools that enable institutional investors to make the important connection between portfolio-level decisions and systems-level considerations. The IEN is a broad-based, collaborative peer-learning network advancing intentionally designed endowments – that enhance financial performance and are aligned with institutional mission, values, and sustainability goals. IEN supports learning on a variety of sustainable investing strategies, such as ESG integration, impact investing, shareholder engagement, that will make a significant and critical contribution to creating a healthy, just, and sustainable society. Lean more about the IEN.
The focus of the webinar was the forthcoming report titled “Effective Investing for the Long Term: Intentionality at Systems Levels”, written by Steve Lydenberg, William Burckart, and Jessica Ziegler of TIIP. This report examines the strategies that more and more investors are utilizing intentionally to balance efficiency in maximizing returns with maintaining the resilience of the environmental, societal, and financial systems that are the ultimate source of this wealth creation. The webinar also included a tour of TIIP’s research portal and database of investor profiles. See below for a recording of the webinar.
