The Centre for Risk Studies at the University of Cambridge is a multidisciplinary centre of excellence for the study of the management of economic and societal risks. The Centre’s focus is in the analysis, assessment, and mitigation of global vulnerabilities for the advancement of political, business and individual decision makers.
Of particular interest is its October 2014 study Millennium Uprising: Social Unrest Scenario, which examines a hypothetical scenario of social unrest due to global youth unemployment. It then assesses the potential impact of this scenario on the economy and in turn on equity and fixed-income portfolios.
