What Markets Miss
William Burckart, TIIP
How system-level investing has moved from an emerging idea to an operating imperative, and how to turn ambition into repeatable governance and portfolio-wide decisions.
Annual Symposium on System-level Investing
Each spring, TIIP and its co-hosts bring together asset owners, asset managers, fiduciaries, foundations and field-builders for a working day on system-level investing. Our 6th Annual Symposium will deliver the Phase 1 results of the Total Portfolio & Systems Intelligence (TPSI) Project, including the field-tested TPSI framework and an overview of our three-part white paper series, with speakers from the TPSI Cohort and Advisory Group.
5th Annual Symposium · April 14, 2026
There is no single model of system-level investing. The 2026 program explored how pension funds, asset managers, foundations, faith-based investors and long-horizon asset owners each use different leverage points, through contrasting viewpoints, candid case studies, fiduciary analysis and tool launches.
Co-hosted by TIIP, the U.S. Impact Investing Alliance, the Intentional Endowments Network, the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility, the Principles for Responsible Investment and For the Long Term. Sponsored by the Center for Monitored and Ethical Investment and Domini Impact Investments, with media partners Pensions & Investments and Chief Investment Officer.
